Boston, MA

With time running out on my year in the US and having not even been through Connecticut (it's very close to NY!) yet it was time; time to go to the capital of Massachusetts obviously.

Despite being the most populous city in the state it still very much has the feel of a small town. Easy to walk around and full of students it reminded me of Edinburgh. I can imagine it is a very nice place to go to university, if only I was smart enough to go to Havard. With the obligatory trip to Cheers, both the original and replica of the famous bar, for a pint and a walk up to Fenway Park to see the old stadium home to the Boston Red Sox.

The highlight however had to be the only thing I wasn't able/allowed to photo, the Mapparium (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mapparium). A one-of-a-kind, 3 story, stainless glass globe, which you can walk through. Awesome! Then add the perfect acoustics and you have a reason, if you needed one, to visit Boston.
